Obama turns 50
Barack Obama was born on August 4, 1961, making the 44th and current President of the United States of America 50 years-old this year.
He has lived a life crammed tight with days and days on the historic and world stage - in the last ten years anyway.
But even his beginnings and slow rise up the political hierarchy were far from mundane. His more famous moments - The killing of Osama Bin Laden, the negotiations for raising the debt ceiling, the public stand-offs with Israel, the reaching out to the Muslim world - are well known.
So Sify.com lists fifty little known moments from Barack Obama's life, since it is often the small things that matter far more than the big.
