A day after Rahul Gandhi`s public outburst against the Bachchans, Big B took exception to the reported remarks and said he might consider taking steps to protect the honour of his family. Without naming Rahul, Amitabh told reporters that he was `deeply hurt` by the reported comments in the media describing his family as `liars`. Responding to a volley of question on the `deteriorating` relations, Amitabh said it regretful that the `family matters` were `needlessly being scrutinised by the media and debated by the members and well-wishers of the two families`.
