Bin Laden was not alone in that compound. Other than the families of his caretakers, quite a large part of his brood was also with him in the house. Although not completely verifiable, reasonable identification and some guesswork has lead to the following list -
Khalid, an adult son of Bin Laden. He rushed at the SEALs when they broke in, and was shot dead. Khairiah, Osama's third wife. Siham, Osama's fourth wife and Amal, Osama's fifth wife. The house also had five infant children of Osama and Amal and four grandchildren of Osama
Much has been made about Osama's wives.
They had travelled with him all this time. Whether he was plotting the murder of Americans, living in caves in Afghanistan or in the mansion in Pakistan, the wives came with him. Two of his wives had actually stood before Osama, to shield Osama from the SEALs. One was shot in the leg and the other dragged off.
The world has been told every little possible detail that could be squeezed out of them.
