Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus: One could sense a discernible change in security inside this beautiful structure after the 26/11 mayhem. Armed policemen carrying weapons are stationed at vantage points inside the premises. There were security bunkers manned by RPF jawans brandishing automatic weapons round the clock. The security in charge of CST, BS Sidhu, said newly trained commandoes had been deployed in three shifts at CST. The terminus now had an extra baggage scanner for frisking the luggage of commuters. The number of CTV cameras had also been enhanced from 38 before 26/11 to 104. The CTV surveillance system had been streamlined with the introduction of a centralised CCTV control room, which was equipped with all kinds of communication facilities including a hotline. Four RPF personnel in every shift monitor the CTV footage on a real time basis.
