Srinagar: As the border tension continued to simmer along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch sector, Indian media reports quoting unnamed sources Sunday said Pakistan has agreed to a flag meeting with the commanders of the Indian Army in Poonch.
Reports said the meeting at the brigadier level is likely to be held at 1 pm on Monday.
The meeting is scheduled in Poonch district's Chakandabad.
Earlier, fresh firing was reported from the Krishnaghati area in Poonch late Saturday that began after the Indian Army noticed movement across the Line of Control (LoC) in the area, media reports said.
The firing came a day after firing was reported from the Pakistani side on eight Indian posts in Krishna Ghati and Sona Gali sectors, amid heightened tensions between the two countries.
A Defence Ministry spokesperson was quoted as saying that the Indian military spotted six to seven suspicious people close to the LoC opposite Krishna Ghati sub-sector in Poonch sector.
