Paula Broadwell, the former mistress of ex-CIA director David Petraeus' promotion to lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve has been revoked following ongoing investigation into the scandal.
The Army revoked Broadwell's pending promotion to lieutenant colonel earlier this month, a Defense Department official told CNN.
Broadwell, now a major in the Army Reserve, had been approved last August for the higher rank.
According to the New York Daily News, she has also been under investigation by the army for keeping classified information on her computer.
CNN reported that Broadwell will again be eligible for the promotion if she is cleared in that probe.
Broadwell's security clearance also remains under suspension, CNN added. (ANI)
