Kolkata: The gender verification test report of Indian woman athlete Pinki Pramanik, who was accused of rape by a woman claiming she is a male, will be submitted in a Barasat court on Thursday.

The test was conducted by an 11-member board of state-run SSKM Hospital on Monday.

"We have concluded the tests and made our report. The medical board chairman will submit the report to the court today," said SSKM medical superintendent Tamal Ghosh.

Pinki had earlier undergone a gender verification test at Barasat district hospital. But due to lack of proper infrastructure there, the court directed SSKM to conduct the test again.

According to hospital sources, Pinki's blood samples were taken for chromosomal analysis after the doctors failed to arrive at a conclusion after clinical tests.

Pinki was arrested on June 14 and later produced in Barasat court during the day.

The woman alleged in her police complaint with the Baguihati police station said Pinki is actually a male.

She said the athlete was terrorizing her for long and had sex by falsely promising to marry her.

The woman in question has reportedly been abandoned by her husband following her proximity with Pinki.

Pinki, now 26, specialises in the 400 metres and 800 metres.

She is a national national 4400 metres relay team champion who also won silver at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, gold at the 2006 Asian Games, and gold at the 2005 Asian Indoor Games.

She completed at triple of gold medals at the 2006 South Asian Games, winning the 400 and 800 m events, as well as the relay.
