New Delhi: Key witness in liquor baron Ponty Chadha and his brother Hardeep shootout case, Sukhdev Singh Namdhari, who was arrested by Delhi Police on Friday from Uttarakhand, is expected to be produced in court on Saturday.
The police detained the sacked chairman of the Uttarakhand Minorities Commission after questioning him at his farmhouse at Bazpur city in Uttarakhand.
The Delhi Police on Thursday night conducted raids on Namdhari's properties in Bazpur, reports said.
Meanwhile, a team of Delhi Police is bringing Namdhari to New Delhi.
Namdhari was reportedly been missing for the past few days and the police were trying to track him down as he was present at the spot when the shootout occurred last Saturday in south Delhi's Chattarpur area.
Namdhari was accompanying Ponty when he was allegedly shot by his brother.
"Mr Namdhari is suspected to have come to Delhi to help Mr Chadha evict Hardeep from the farmhouse the two brothers were fighting over," NDTV reported quoting police sources.
