Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh State Human Rights Commission (APSHRC) on Saturday directed the ACP Balanagar to provide security to the wife of Kondal Reddy, a Naxal who has been killed in an encounter in Warangal district.
A state committee member of the CPI (Maoist), Kondal Reddy was gunned down in an encounter in forest area in Tadwai Mandal of Warangal district on Friday.

Responding to a petition filed by Madhavi Joshi, wife of Kondal Reddy alias Tech Ramana, before the Commission seeking security, APSHRC Chairman B Subhashan Reddy directed the ACP Balanagar, Krishna Reddy to provide her security, official sources said.
The Commission also directed Warangal district Superintendent of Police to hand over Kondal Reddy's body to his wife after conducting post-mortem under supervision of forensic experts, they said.

In her petition Madhavi said she feared threatened due to the presence of unidentified persons who were "keeping a watch" near the house of her relative at Kukatpally here where, she is presently staying, sources said.
She also demanded to hand over Kondal Reddy's body, they said.
