Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday offcially took charge as the Congress Vice President and said he will practice 'positive politics'.
"Our entire environment of politics is acrimonious...We are fighting with each other on small things....I want to reduce it ..I want to get into positive politics because that will take this country forward," Gandhi told reporters here.
He said: "I don´t want to get into negative politics."
Gandhi said the Congress is the ´best instrument to change things´.
"I want to try and use this instrument to bring change and make it accessible to youngsters," he said.
The newly-appointed Congress Vice President also met party general secretaries and other leaders at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters here.
Gandhi was made the Vice President of the 128-year-old party on Saturday.
The decision was taken following a meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) at the end of the party´s two-day brainstorming conclave "Chintan Shivir" held in Jaipur recently.
