Rehman Malik arrives in India for bilateral talks

Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik arrived here on Friday evening on a three-day visit to India.

Malik, who arrived at the International Airport here in a military plane, was received by Minister of State for Home R.P.N. Singh.

Malik, who was accompanied by a Pakistani delegation, arrived in New Delhi on the invitation of Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.

Counter terrorism, border management, fake Indian currency notes and co-operation among security and investigation agencies are on the agenda to be taken up for discussion between Malik and his Indian counterpart Shinde.

India is likely to raise several issues relating to terrorism especially handing over of the JuD Chief Hafiz Saeed, the chief mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

The two sides are also expected to sign a liberalized Visa regime.

The visiting Minister is scheduled to call on Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, National Security Adviser Shri Shiv Shankar Menon and Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj, tomorrow. (ANI)
