Six unidentified men Tuesday looted Rs.3.45 lakh at gun point from a bank in Jharkhand's Dhanbad town, police said. Three bank employees were injured during the incident.
The robbers barged into Sahara India Bank at 3.15 p.m. in Dhanbad, some 270 km from Ranchi, police said.
The men fired in the air and looted money at gun point. When some employees tried to resist, they were beaten up the robbers. The itruders also hurled small locally-made bombs at them.
Three employees sustained minor injures. Four live bombs were recovered from the bank, police added.
According to police, more than 55 banks have been looted in Jharkhand in the last seven years.
