A series of 16 synchronised bombings ripped through Gujarat`s main city of Ahmedabad on Saturday evening, a day after terror rocked India`s IT hub Bangalore, leaving at least 29 people dead and 88 injured, with the government sounding a nation-wide alert. Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said after a meeting of the top police brass that there were 16 blasts, killing 29 people and injuring 88.
