Bihar: A Somalian and a Hyderabad youth arrested here while trying to sneak into Nepal were questioned on Sunday by security forces and central agencies, even as a senior district police officer said no link of the duo with the twin blasts in Hyderabad has come to light so far.

30-year-old Somalian national Abdullah Umran Makran and his associate Mohammad Adam of Hyderabad were nabbed by immigration officials with the help of Bihar Police in Haraiya village on Saturday while trying to sneak into Nepal without valid documents. They have been remanded in judicial custody on Sunday.

Preliminary information said that the two had landed in Raxual by train from New Delhi on Saturday after travelling from Hyderabad to the national capital.

An FIR has been lodged under Foreigners Act with the Raxual police station against the two on the statement of immigration officials, superintendent of police Ganesh Kumar said.

The Somalian and the Hyderabad youth were produced in the court of sub-divisional judicial magistrate (SDJM), Raxual, Mahesh Prasad who sent them to judicial custody for a fortnight.

A laptop, a mobile, a camera and driving licence made in Hyderabad have been seized from the two, the sources said adding there was a photograph of Secunderabad Railway station in the camera.

Central intelligence agencies and Military Intelligence officials along with the state police have questioned the two, police sources said.

SP Ganesh Kumar said during questioning no link with the blasts has come to light.

"It has come to light that the Somalian had an affair with a Hyderabad girl," he said.

Kumar said the Somalian and his associate staying in Kathmandu had recently illegally entered into East Champaran district in a bid to collect papers for passport preparation and were returning to Nepal the same way.

Address of Hyderabad local held in Bihar is 'fake'

City police probing the twin blasts on Sunday said that the local Mohammad Adam, who was arrested in Bihar along with a Somalian national, has obtained his driving license allegedly on fake residential address and they are verifying his antecedents.

"We have inquired about the address provided in the driving license of Adam. When our personnel went at Rethibowli locality, the house owner denied any such person living there," police sources said, adding police are verifying other details provided by Adam for securing the driving license.

Adam and his Somalian accomplice Abdullah Umran Makran (30) were nabbed by Immigration officials with the help of Bihar police in Haraiya village in East Champaran district on Saturday while trying to sneak into Nepal without valid documents.

However, Bihar police have ruled out the link, if any, of the duo with the twin blasts that rocked Dilsukhnagar locality in Hyderabad on Thursday, killing 16 persons and injuring 117.
