Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday urged lawmakers from her party to expose the opposition's doublespeak and not allow their "obstructive behaviour" to block Parliamentary proceedings.
Addressing a Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) meet, Gandhi said: "It seems to be almost fashionable these days to criticise the government."
"We must not allow this to deflect us. We must speak forcefully and with confidence on what we have achieved and there is much we have to show despite difficult economic times," she said.
She urged MPs from her party to project the government´s "many accomplishments and our ambitious legislative agenda".
The pep talk from the Congress chief comes in the wake of a series of offensives by the opposition in Parliament as well as a fallout with its allies on the NCTC issue.
Touching upon the impasse over the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), she said that there is a need for greater interaction between Centre and states.
