Shimla, Feb 25 (IANS) Himachal Pradesh saw another sunny day but the Met Office here Monday forecast more snow this week, making for colder days ahead.
"There was mainly dry weather in the state in the last 24 hours. The maximum temperatures increased by six to seven degrees but there was no appreciable change in minimum temperatures," a weatherman here told IANS.
He said heavy rain and snow were likely in some places on Wednesday.
Last week popular tourist destinations like Shimla, Kufri, Narkanda and Manali experienced snowfall, making the towns even more picturesque.
Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest town in the state with a minimum of minus 8.6 degrees Celsius Sunday.
The minimum temperatures in Shimla was 5.6 degrees and in Manali one degree below the freezing point.
Kalpa, some 250 km from Shimla, saw the night temperature drop to 2 degrees Celsius below the freezing point.
