
Chennai: Tamil Nadu government has bagged various awards constituted by India Today Group including the 'Second Most Improved State of the Decade.'
Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa received the award from India Today Group Managing Editor Rajeev Pai at the Secretariat here.
An official release said the state also bagged an award for being the best among big states in agriculture while Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai bagged awards in different categories.
Jayalalithaa assured Pai that she would depute her senior Ministers, including Finance Minister O Panneerselvam to receive the awards at a function in New Delhi on February 22, 2013, it added.
