The true father of liberalization and nicknamed Chanakya, the image of Congressman PV Narasimha Rao fell apart when he became PM. The JMM bribery scandal, the St Kitts' forgery case and the Lakhubhai Patel cheating allegations all happened during his happening tenure as PM.
O for Oommen Chandy
An investigating agency ruled that the Kerala government lost a few crores thanks to the Palmolein Oil Import scam of the early 1990s. A court pulled up Chandy for approving the order as minister. The issue came to haunt him when he became CM in 2011. He had offered to quit, but continues to stay on as of date.
P for Pawar
Sharad Pawar shakes off scandals like water off a duck's back. CM Sudhakarrao Naik accused him of being sympathetic to the underworld. Abdul Karim Telgi of the stamp paper scam named him. Food import irregularities, the IPL scam, an HC notice over land irregularities... you get the message. Anna Hazare once said that he has "corruption running through his veins".
