A police service in England has released some of the most astonishing 999 calls made by various people, in order to show the mistreatment of the emergency helpline.
The calls, released by the West Midlands Police, ranged from a bizarre call for help to retrieve a laptop password to a call saying that trouble is being served at the McDonald's restaurant, the Telegraph reports.
The police service will be staging a 24-hour campaign on Twitter to highlight the misuse of the helpline.
Typically West Midlands Police receives over 1,500 calls a day to the 999 number. Every call that is not an emergency could be delaying response to a genuine life or death situation. (ANI)
