At the border
Tourists walk across the `Broken Bridge` on the Yalu River at Dandong, on China`s border with North Korea. The bridge was bombed by US forces during the Korean War in 1950-1953 and reaches only half way across the river. The bridge was built in 1909, and has not been reconstructed since it was bombed. It is now a tourist attraction on the Chinese side, with telescopes available for viewing Korea.
