Two killed in Goa iron plant accident

Panaji, Feb 23 (IANS) Two workers died in an industrial accident at a metal plant in Goa's Pissurlem Saturday, police said.

Police said that of the two workers who were grievously injured at the Ambe Metallic iron manufacturing plant at Pissurlem, 55 kms from here, one died died on the spot, while the other succumbed to injuries later at a nearby medical clinic.

"We are still examining the matter. A first information report will be filed soon," a police spokesperson said.
