A US court court on Friday is likely to sentence Kashmiri separatist Ghulam Nabi Fai on charges of illegally lobbying the U.S. government for Pakistan and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) over the disputed territory of Kashmir.
Fai, a native of Kashmir, who has already admitted of receiving funds from Pakistani government´s spy service ISI for influencing U.S. policy against India, was arrested by the FBI last year.
He later pleaded guilty before the court to charges of being a paid agent of the ISI.
He also pleaded guilty to conspiracy and tax violation.
Fai is likely to face a maximum sentence of five years in prison for conspiracy and a maximum sentence of three years in prison for tax violation.
