The Studebaker Commander Six is a rare American-made export model with right hand drive. The car was originally registered in 1930 as D 7083; in 1940, it was changed to DLH 7083. In the 60s, it was reassigned DLV 10.
It was bought by the entrant`s (at the Auto Expo) great grandfather, Rai Bahadur Amba Pershad, a well-known philanthropist of Delhi. The car has been in the family ever since. Mahatma Gandhi has used the car on a few occasions; Motil Lal Nehru also used it once.
