Vandalism

Two protesters were killed in large scale violence and arson in Punjab on Monday sparked by the killing of a leader of a Sikh sect in Austria and trains were attacked. Army was deployed and curfew clamped in four cities including in Jalandhar.

At least 45 persons including 20 policemen were injured as followers of the Sikh sect--Dera Sachkhand Ballan-- and various Dalit organisations fought pitched battles with security personnel and indulged in vandalism.
