Passengers have voted the crew of Virgin Australia as the most stylish of all Australian airlines despite the crew's complains about their uniforms being uncomfortable, according to a study ranking the glamour of flight attendants in the Asia Pacific region.
Travel-search website Skyscanner has voted the 1960's-style red polyester uniforms worn by Virgin Australia's flight attendants as the most stylish among all Australian airlines, News.com.au reports.
However, the Australian airline achieved third place in the entire Asia-Pacific region, with the winner being China Eastern airlines' cabin crew, with their uniform of navy blue suits with white shirts and red scarves.
Second place went to Korea's Asiana Airlines, which has been the subject of a dispute with its female crew over its skirt-only dress rule.
Skyscanner spokesman Dave Boyte said the etiquette lessons the crew were forced to undergo last year via the company's 'look book' have also helped improve its image. (ANI)
