When Gen Y stopped and listened

"The best thing happened to me is that I am blind. That is why I could reach up to this level."

"If you youth come forward to take active role in the affairs of the community, I am prepared to retire."

"When somebody discourages me from doing something, I take it up as a challenge and show him what I can do."

Inspired?

Words like these from the hearts of thirteen speakers at the TEDx Youth event in Chennai on Saturday (Nov 20) have definitely inspired the Gen Y in the audience.

The speakers were from varied fields and each of them had entirely different ideas to present.

The speakers, eminent personalities in their respective fields, got 18 minutes each to narrate their experience and, in this short span of time, they succeeded in telling how they made a difference in their respective fields.
