Mumbai girl Geeta Anand shared a staff Pulitzer Prize for a series of stories about scandals in corporate America in 2003. She is a health and science reporter at The Wall Street Journal, covering biotech companies. Born in Mumbai, Geeta (35) was once a resident of Mt Pleasant Road, Malabar Hill. She studied in Cathedral and John Connon School, where she was the head girl. A national champion swimmer, she represented India at the Asian and Commonwealth Games in 1982. At Brisbane during the Commonwealth Games she represented India at something else as well -- tea with Queen Elizabeth II. Geeta showed an early interest in journalism, contributing stories to the school paper.
