Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has now made it to the cover of the Time magazine after achieving significant response from the Indian audience for his recently concluded television programme "Satyamev Jayate".
The caption of the magazine cover´s Asia edition read: "Khan´s Quest".
The blurb of the magazine cover that showed the face of the Bollywood icon read: "He´s breaking the Bollywood mould by tackling India´s social evils. Can one actor change a nation?"
Khan became the third Bolywood actor to feature on the cover of the magazine.
Bollywood actors Parveen Babi(1976) and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (2003) were earlier seen on the covers of the magazine.
Khan gained lots of attention with his recently concluded television programme "Satyamev Jayate" that showed different social issues ranging from female foeticide to domestic violence in its episodes.
Khan also met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to discuss the plight of manual scavengers who engage in cleaning human waste.
He met Singh after showing the problems of manual scavengers in one of the episodes of the show.
Khan had made a presentation before a parliamentary committee on issues concerning the medical and pharmaceutical sector following an episode on the same subject.
Several eminent Indians featured on the cover of Time Magazine that included Mahatma Gandhi, Sania Mirza, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Narendra Modi and Sachin Tendulkar.
