[India], Nov 5 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi President Manoj Tiwari on Monday alleged that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan tried to physically hurt him on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's order.
Manoj Tiwari got into a scuffle with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers and Delhi Police at the inauguration ceremony of the Signature Bridge on Sunday.
The entire incident was recorded on camera.
Speaking to ANI, Tiwari said, "I was invited to the inauguration by Manish Sisodia Ji and I just wanted to congratulate him (Arvind Kejriwal) but the AAP supporters and police misbehaved with me."
"He (Amanatullah Khan) started abusing me for no reason and threatened to kill me, I was standing 3 feet away from the stage but he pushed me so hard that anything could have happened. I have already registered a police complaint against him and will make sure an FIR should be filed and he should be sent back to jail immediately," he added.
Tiwari also claimed that whatever happened with him was all done on orders from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
"Amanatullah is already out on bail and still he threatened to shoot me, I was not present on the stage I was just standing at the divider which was about 5 feet high, I could have died but people saved me. This shows what kind of leaders work with Arvind Kejriwal. Whatever happened to me was done on orders from Arvind Kejriwal," he said.
Meanwhile, Amanatullah Khan has denied allegations.
Khan told ANI, "When he (Tiwari) was trying to climb the stage, I stopped him, I did not push him. It was obvious from his actions that if he was successful in climbing the stage he would have misbehaved or attacked the Chief Minister (Arvind Kejriwal) and Deputy Chief Minister (Manish Sisodia)."
The AAP leader further asserted that Tiwari was not invited to the inauguration ceremony. (ANI)
