Ghaziabad, Apr 11 (IBNS) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sought a warrant against dentist Nupur Talwar as she skipped a Ghaziabad court on Wednesday while hearing started into the murder of her teenager daughter Aarushi Talwar.
Aarushi´s father dentist Rajesh Talwar was present in the Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Wednesday as the hearing began.
The Allahabad High Court on Monday suspended its earlier order directing the Ghaziabad court to expedite decision on any bail plea filed by Nupur.
The high court stayed the order and gave time to Nupur to appear before the trial court.
The court directed Nupur to file a reply within three weeks.
The order came after the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) filed a recall application on the court´s March 13 verdict.
"Nupur Talwar had made the submission hiding the fact that an order to the effect that her bail plea be decided on the very same day was passed by the Allahabad high court itself on March 18, 2011," CBI counsel Anurag Khanna told reporter outside the court.
"The CBI has therefore requested the court to recall its order passed last month and also sought punitive action against the petitioner under Section 340 of the Criminal Procedure Code for providing false information in a sworn affidavit," he said.
The high court on Mar 13 had directed Nupur to appear before the CBI court within 30 days.
The CBI accused Nupur and her husband Rajesh Talwar of being involved in the murder of their daughter Aarushi in 2008.
Aarushi was found murdered, with her throat slit, at the Talwar residence in Noida in the morning of May 16, 2008.
The body of Hemraj, Talwars´ domestic help, was found on the terrace the next day.
