India lost two wickets in their first innings to end the second day of the fourth Test match against Australia at 61 runs for the loss two wickets.

G. Gambhir (30*) and Sachin Tendulkar (12*) will resume the proceedings on Thursday.

India have lost the wickets of both V Sehwag (18) and R Dravid (1).

Hilfenhaus and Siddle have picked one wickets so far.

Earlier, Australia declared at 604 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the first innings.

R. Ponting (221) and M Clarke (210) scored brilliant double centuries to help the home side mammoth total against the visitors.

Ashwin took three wickets and Z Khan scalped two wickets in the innings.

India trail Australian first innings score by 543 runs.
