After Virat Kohli it was time for Indian pacer Ishant Sharma to draw criticism for allegedly showing his middle finger to fans on Monday.

The incident took place at a local club where Ishant along with his teammates had gone for go-karting.

Ishant made the gesture after receiving taunts from the public over India´s dismal show in Australia, media reports said.

A photographer from a West Australian newspaper caught the image on camera where the lanky fast bowler was seen showing the middle finger to the locals.

Earlier, India batsman Virat Kohli has been fined 50 per cent of his match fee after being found guilty of breaching the ICC's Code of Conduct during the second day's play in the second cricket Test against Australia in Sydney.

Kohli was charged with a Level 2 offence under article 2.2.8 of the code which relates to "Using language or gesture(s) that is seriously obscene, seriously offensive or of a seriously insulting nature to another Player, Player Support Personnel, Umpire, Match Referee or any other third person during an International Match".

India is passing through a pathetic Australian tour as the hosts thrashed them in the first two Test matches of the series so far.

Australia lead the four match series by 2-0 margin.

The third Test match between India and Australia will start at Perth from Jan 13.
