Chandigarh, June 12 (IANS) Punjab's ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will go with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance in the forthcoming presidential elections, party patron and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said Tuesday.
He said that being a major constituent of the NDA, the Akali Dal would go along with its alliance partner on the issue of the coming presidential elections.
The Akali Dal and BJP have an alliance government in Punjab.
"We will support the line of action of the NDA. All the constituents of the NDA would join their heads to decide their stand over the matter in the coming days. The alliance which will decide its stand over the issue for which the meeting of its major constituents will be convened in coming days," Badal told reporters in Dasuya town, 180 km from here.
