India's Got Talent season 5 contestant Akshat Singh has been invited to feature on America's most coveted television chat show The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

While this show has been on the wish list of all internationally acclaimed stars, 8-year-old semi-finalist´s appearance on the show will put India's Got Talent and his young talent on the global platform.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been known to feature the world's most famous celebrities including the uber-sophisticated Meryl Streep to President Barrack Obama. Now, this show will feature Akshat Singh as a non-celebrity Indian who has created waves on the international entertainment circuit.

In the opening episode of India's Got Talent, Kolkata's darling dancer Akshat Singh was seen shaking a leg to Salman Khan's popular song 'Mera Hi Jalwa' - a performance which soon went viral with millions of hits online. But little did anyone suspect that this 8-year-old boy would become an international phenomenon earning him one of the most coveted invites.

Shocked by the developments in Akshat's life, judge Malaika Arora Khan said, "This is unbelievable! I am very happy to hear that young Akshat has been invited to be a part of The Ellen DeGeneres Show in LA. It is a great feat that he has achieved especially because he has an extremely endearing personality."

Khan said,"Watching him perform on the India's Got Talent stage has been a visual treat because he has a personality which brightens your day and brings a smile to your face. I wish him all the luck for his stint on the show. I am sure he will be able to impress international audiences the way he has managed to floor us. I am very happy for him."

Akshat and his family, who felt honored by this opportunity, flew to US on Feb 12 for an in-studio shoot of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. It will air on Feb 17.
