In an attempt to provide a strong push for the passage of the Lokpal bill, social activist and anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare will commence his 'Janatantra Yatra' from here on Sunday.

Hazare is scheduled to address eight public rallies here during his five-day ´Yatra´, said reports.

Anna Hazare would start the Yatra after paying obeisance at Durgiana Mandir, Harmandir Saheb and Ramtirath temple.

He will address first public rally at the Jallianwalan Bagh on March 31 followed by two more public rallies to be held at Kapurthala and Jalandhar on the same day. Two rallies will be held each at Ludhiana and Moga on April 1 followed by Bathinda rally on April 2.

He will address two more rallies one at Barnala and the second and last at Patiala before wrapping his Punjab yatra to make aware the people of the "UPA government´s efforts to give a ditch" to the Jan Lok Pal bill.

Hazare has reportedly announced that a big Jan-Sansad (public rally) will be organised at Ramlila Ground in the national capital after five months.

According to him, these kind of mass movements are required to awaken the country-men so that a change can be witnessed.

Hazare, on Saturday, has also written to the political parties to join as he feels that the country which is "fed up with the current lethargic system being run by corrupt politicians", can only witness change when all crusaders unite on a single platform, said reports.
