Television brand AOC TV Saturday launched its first exclusive brand shop AOC Lounge in Kolkata to pry into the east Indian market.
"Eastern India is one of the major markets for AOC. We are very optimistic about the market responses, as Kolkata being one of the most important business hubs for the entire eastern region market covering West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam and Orissa," said Director AOC TV, Seema T Bhatnagar.
The focus of the brand is on LED and High Definition (HD) quality with the range starting from 22 inches at Rs.14,000.
"The components that are available in the high end television set are also available in AOC TV but at a much cheaper price like ultra slim look, loaded with ZBD Technology, Dream Surround Sound, Real Colour engine and multiple connectivity," said Bhatnagar.
"Keeping in mind the Durga Puja and Diwali festive season, we have introduced attractive offers for our customers. AOC TVs are coming with extended comprehensive three years warranty and also includes scratch and win offer called ´Drive Your TV Home´.
"Hundreds of Tata Nano Cars, LED, LCD TVs and more exciting gifts to be won by November 15," she added.
The Delhi-based brand has started its pan India business since January 2012 starting from North to South where they launched their brand in May 2012, grabbing a market share of 3 percent since January.
"We have already invested more than Rs 3 crores in West Bengal for promotions and branding of AOC TV, and expect to share 5 percent of the market here," added Bhatnagar.
AOC TV has appointed Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin as the brand ambassador.
Said Bhatnagar,"We have huge plans for investments in West Bengal for the next 5 years since this market is very receptive for AOC TVs. We will open 20 more showrooms here in Kolkata by next year while increasing our showrooms nationally to 150 about the same time."
