AP flood: PM offers help to CM

New Delhi, Nov 6 (IBNS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and offered central help for flood affected areas in the state.

"The PM directed the Chief Minister to constantly monitor the situation and extend all possible assistance for relief and rehabilitation," said the Prime Minister´s Office (PMO) on Tuesday.

"The PM also extended sympathies to those who have lost their family members in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari and Krishna districts," said the PMO.

As many as 25 people were killed in Andhra Pradesh as heavy rain triggered by last week´s Cyclone Nilam continued to disrupt life in the Indian state.
