Buenos Aires, Dec 13 (IANS/EFE) State-owned energy firm Enarsa plans to construct a 20 MW wind farm in the southwestern Argentine town of Plaza Huincul, officials said.
The wind farm will be built on a 400-hectare tract of land granted by Neuquen province, the Argentine federal government said Tuesday on its web site.
The project will require an initial investment of $40 million in the first phase, although Enarsa is planning to boost the farm's generating capacity in a second phase to 80 MW.
Plaza Huincul Mayor Juan Carlos Giannatasio said Enarsa will seek out international funding for the project.
