Arjen Robben impressed with Indian players

New Delhi, Jan 10 (IBNS) Bayern Munich's Dutch star Arjen Robben was impressed with Indian footballers during Bhaichung Bhutia's farwell match in the Audi Football Summit at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on Tuesday.

"The players in the Indian team are very fit and they have got good speed as well. If they get (more) facilities, they can do even better," he said.

Asked about the pitch at the Nehru Stadium, Robben said: "It is a really good and big pitch. There were lots of space. We played good football."

Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes also praised Indian players.

"They looked good initially. They were clever in defence and closed the gaps. We could have scored a few goals in the second half."

Asked about one Indian player, who impressed him, Heynckes said: "We are playing at a different level. So, it is difficult to judge. It was a good 90 minutes outing. Their level is not the same as ours. But it was a good test for our boys...It was great to see the passion of the fans."
