Army polyclinic inaugurated in Gurgaon

Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM), Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) holder and General Officer Commanding in Chief (GOC-in-C) Western Command, Lt Gen Sanjiv Chachra Monday inaugurated Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Polyclinic at Sohna Road, Gurgaon to provide acme medical care for the veterans and dependants of the Armed Forces.

According to Defence Ministry spokesperson, Colonel Jagdeep Dahiya the year 2012 was declared as the 'Year of the Veteran' and many new progressive schemes were launched for the welfare of ex-servicemen.



Dahiya said, "In Delhi and NCR, a total of 12 polyclinics had been planned and amongst them polyclinic Sohna Road, Gurgaon is the eleventh in succession."

He added, "The polyclinic has been equipped with state of the art medical equipment and designed with ergonomical appeal to ensure maximum comforts and facilities for our ex-servicemen fraternity."

The ECHS Polyclinic inauguration was attended by AVSM,SM,VSM GOC, Delhi Area, Lt Gen Subroto Mitra; MD ECHS Maj Gen J George and other senior officers and veterans.
