Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan deposed before the a two-member commission that is investigating the Adarsh Housing Society scam for the second time on Monday.
Chavan on June 30 deposed before the two-member commission.
He reportedly blamed Union Minister and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh for the scam on June 30.
Deshmukh deposed before the panel on June 26 and 27.
He told the commission that he signed the files related to the Adarsh Housing Society after the state's Revenue department and Finance Ministry cleared them.
He reportedly said former Revenue Minister Ashok Chavan and Finance Minister Jayant Patil gave clearance to the files connected to the housing society before it came to his table for approval.
Earlier on June 25, Union Power Minister and ex-Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde deposed before the panel.
Shinde reportedly told the commission that all decisions in connection to the controversial housing society was taken during the tenure of Deshmukh as the Chief Minister of the state.
