Home Minister P Chidambaram on Tuesday condemned the bomb attack on an Israeli embassy car on Monday afternoon in New Delhi that seriously injured four people that included a woman official of the embassy.

Chidambaram said that a well trained person executed the attack on Monday afternoon.

"It is quite clear that well trained person has committed the attack," he said.

He said: "At the moment I am not pointing finger at any person or group."

Speaking on the timing of the blast, he said: " It happened within second, within four to five seconds of being attached. "

The Home Minister said: "The target was Israel diplomat´s wife [who is injured]. Therefore one has to proceed on the basis that it was a terrorist attack."

He said that the footage from closed-circuit cameras have not provided any clues so far.

Chidambaram said that India share friendly relationship with all countries and diplomats are ´entitled to work in peace in India´.

An Israeli embassy car exploded in national capital New Delhi seriously wounding four, including a woman diplomat, on Monday in a terror attack squarely blamed on Iran and Hezbollah militant group by Israel.

The attack occurred around 3 pm near the 7 Race Course Road residence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh when, officials said, a biker apparently followed the car and then stuck something magnetic on the vehicle causing the explosion.

The Innova SUV car was charred after it exploded near a petrol pump.

Tal Yeshova, the 40-year-old diplomat who reports said was going to take back her children from school, was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital. The driver Manoj Sharma was also injured.

Two other occupants of another car sustained minor injuries.

Yeshova suffered shrapnel wounds in her liver, torso and spine. She is in a critical condition but stable, doctors said.

Meanwhile, the Delhi police on Tuesday examined CCTV footage from a residence located near the spot where a bomb attack occurred.
