Azarenka grabs Aus Open title

Victoria Azarenka of Belarus defeated Maria Sharapova of Russia to lift the Australian Open women's title, here on Saturday.

Azarenka won her maiden grand slam title by crushing Sharapova by 6-3, 6-0 margin.

She won the match in just 1 hour and 22 minutes.

Azarenka hit 12 unforced errors in comparison to the 30 unforced errors hit by Sharapova.

The Tennis star from Belarus is now the number 1 ranked women´s player in the world.
