New Delhi, Apr 23 (IBNS) A programme was organised at Railway Board in Rail Bhawan on Tuesday to celebrate 122nd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal was the Chief Guest on this occasion.
Minister of State for Railways Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on this occasion, Bansal said that the thoughts of Ambedkar brought revolution in the country and he worked for the uplift of downtrodden people.
Bansal pointed out that Ambedkar himself felt the pains of discrimination during his life time and worked hard to get India rid of this evil practice.
Bansal said that a nation can progress only when it breaks the shackles of man made discriminations.
He said: "There is a need to change mind set and work for a true casteless society. We all have to carry forward the message of Dr. Ambedkar whether we are in Government or outside the Government."
