Panaji, Nov 27 (IBNS) Director of National Award winning film "Baboo Band Baja" Rajesh Pinjani has described his film as a tug-of-war between fate and hope.
He said that it shows the irrepressible surge to soar in life while being pitted against the vicious grip of circumstances.
He was addressing a press conference at the media centre at International Film Festival of India (IFFI) here on Sunday along with lead actors of the film Milind Shinde and Mitalee Jagtap Varadkar.
The Director said that a lot of research, few real life incidents, a simple story and a great team effort had all made it possible to make the film "Baboo Band Baaja".
Pinjani's earlier short films "Udaan", "Disha", "Tempt" and other documentaries were based on social issues, mostly shot with real life characters.
While doing a corporate film for a microfinance company he travelled a lot to interior parts of India and noticed the life and problems of rural "bandwallas". This inspired him to do a film on them.
