As speculations over Bal Thackeray's health continued, the Shiv Sena on Friday said the party supremo's condition is improving.
Shiv Sena leader Manohar Joshi told media: "Balasaheb is showing a lot of improvement and is recovering."
He requested people ´not to trust rumours and create panic´.
Late on Thursday night, the party´s working president Uddhav Thackeray, spoke to party activists outside the ailing chief´s house in Bandra.
"Balasaheb´s condition is stable and his health is improving," he said.
"Let´s pray and not lose hope," he added.
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who visited Thackeray´s residence Matoshree on Friday, told media: "I met Uddhav Thackeray and his family members....I believe that Bal Thackeray will come out of this crisis."
A heavy presence of police and rapid action force continues to remain outside Thackeray´s house, and other parts of the city.
The Centre has provided additional security forces to Maharashtra to assist the local administration in maintaining law and order.
