Tollywood (Bengali film industry) actor Biswanath Basu and debutant director Baba Yadav were spotted at the Kalighat temple area in Kolkata sticking the posters of their next film, 'Boss - Born to Rule', on Thursday.
Basu said, "We chose to begin our promotional activities at the feet of Goddess Kali, because we felt one auspicious work should start at an auspicious place. Hopefully, the film will be doing well."
"This is my eighth movie with Jeet. I am playing the role of Jeet´s friend in the movie. I am feeling very enthusiastic to have worked with Baba," he said.
"Boss is all about power. It´s totally about attitude, dance and feeling," noted Basu.
Baba Yadav, who had put ample performances on screen as a professional choreographer, said, "Dance has been my first love, but directing my first movie with Jeet was a very charming experience for me. Jeet helped me as a big brother."
"Jeet has devoted himself completely into the character. But the audience is the ultimate boss. We have made a good product. Now it´s up to the audience," he said.
Speaking about the impact of South Indian movies on Tollywood, Baba said, "The actual language of films has been taught to us by Satyajit Ray. So if he can inspire the Indians with his films in the olden days, why can´t the other guys do it now ?"
"It´s all about inspiration," he said.
The movie is set to release on Aug 9.
