Bhatti back on TV with "Thank You Jijaji"

Comedy king Jaspal Bhatti,who is returning to small screen with "Thank You Jijaji",promises that he will have people laughing all the way withthe serial, which he has written, directed and acted in.

"The serial, which is being shot in and aroundChandigarh, is a hilarious series on family relationships andgovernment machinery," Bhatti told PTI here.

The funnyman, who has acted in many films like "KuchchNaa Kaho" and Aamir Khan starrer 'Fanaa" and comedy serialslike "Full Tension" and "Dhaba Junction", is also planning tomake a film soon on country's politics.

"It's going to be a political movie in Hindi language.It will be my home production," he said.

Bhatti's latest serial shows the comedian playing therole of brother-in-law of a senior IAS officer and will be onair on SAB TV and will be shown every Monday at 10 p.m.

Bhatti, a mechanical engineer from Panjab EngineeringCollege here who first shot to fame with shows like "UltaPulta" and "Flop Show" over two decades back, will be seenexploiting his connection with his IAS brother-in-law in thenew serial.

Apart from him and his wife Savita, the characters inthe comedy serial are fresh faces, with most of them comingfrom his acting school "Mad Arts" while some new talenthas also come from nearby places like Patiala, Jalandhar,Amritsar and Jammu.
