New Delhi, Oct 11 (IBNS) India Against Corruption leaders and father-son lawyer duo Prashant Bhushan and Shanti Bhushan have denied there was any violation of law in purchase and use of a plot of land in Himachal Pradesh which Congress party said was meant for a tea plantation but given to them by the BJP government in 2010.

"There was no violation of law. The government can probe it. We do not indulge in all that," said Shanti Bhushan, father of Prashant Bhushan, who had got the allotment.

The land is one in Palampur in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh where they set up the Kumud Bhushan Educational Society.

Smarting from an attack on Sonia Gandhi´s son-in-law Robert Vadra on corruption issue over real estate deals, Congress has demanded probe against IAC members like the Bhushans over their own private property deals.

Congress said there should be a probe on how a tea plantation in Himachal Pradesh was sold to the Bhushans in alleged violations of local laws.

"This land worth Rs 7 to 8 crore was given to them for a few lakhs," alleged Congress leader Rajiv Shukla.

Shanti Bhushan said the government had tried to implicate them over a fake CD earlier but failed with the government lab in Chandigarh itself terming it as a fake one.

Reports said Prashant Bhushan has purchased the plot of 4.68 hectares for building the society in Feb 2010.
