Rawalpindi, Aug 20 (IBNS) A Pakistani Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday indicted former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and seven others for conspiracy to murder ex-Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
In a brief hearing in Rawalpindi, the court indicted him on three charges of murder, conspiracy to murder and facilitation of murder.
Musharraf, however, denied the charges.
The court adjourned the hearing till Aug 27.
Musharraf is presently at his Chak Shahzad residence, which had been declared a sub-jail.
He is accused of conspiring the murder of Bhutto in 2007.
He returned to Pakistan in March after years of self-exile in the UK.
Musharraf rose to power in Pakistan in a coup in 1999. He had stepped down from the power in 2008 and was threatened with impeachment, which resulted in his self-exile.
